Win by Linda Ottemoeller

Congratulations to Linda Ottemoeller who won the title of Reserve First Level Champion in first level at the central California RAAC (Regional Adult Amateur Competition) which was held at Gilroy Gates on July 4, 2015.  She and Rubicon, her 15 year old Dutch Warmblood, also scored high enough to earn the Novice Roses Award.  This award goes to the highest scoring rider over the age of 50 at training or first level.  Nice work!  Watch for these two at second level next season.

March Madness Rancho Murieta 2015

The 2015 show season started out with a bang for Silver Bell Barn.  Cynthia Bell and her Lusitano stallion, Allure do Canaa, received high scores at fourth level.  Cassey Mello and Nikolai had quite a nice first show together at second level.  Cate Dolan and Rego mastered Intro test C.  Linda and her horse Rubicon had a very successful show at both first and second level.  Hannah Parolini and her pinto mare, Missy, had much success at training level qualifying themselves for the CDS Jr/Yr championships.  The scores were great, but most of all we worked together as a well oiled team.

2012 RAAC

Who says that a retired barrel racer can’t earn a dressage championship?  Not us!  That’s exactly what Hannah Goodin, a 21 year old Quarter Horse, did with Erica Cardey at the 2012 Northern California Regional Adult Amateur Competition (RAAC).  Under the guidance of Cynthia Bell, Erica successfully retrained Hannah in dressage.  Their first season out Erica and Hannah mastered “Intro Level” and dominated at RAAC.  The pair also rode their first Training Level test at that show and earned a whopping 69%.  Unfortunately Hannah’s dressage career was cut short due to colic.  Silver Bell Barn and Erica had to say goodbye to Hannah in April of 2013.  Hannah is sorely missed!

2012 RAAC

IMG_20141204_120449Cassey (Gomes) Mello had never even heard of the Regional Adult Amateur Championship (RAAC) when she and Dominique, Cynthia Bell’s 15 year old APHA mare, started their first show season together.  Riding for fun the pair earned the rights to compete in both Training and First levels at RAAC.  Cassey and Dominique put in two beautiful rides and brought home two ribbons, but more importantly they brought home memories that will last a lifetime.

2013 Regional Adult Amateur Competition (RAAC)

Two of Silver Bell Barn’s riders attended the 2013 Regional Adult Amateur Competition (RAAC).  Dawn Rizzo and Cynthia Bell’s Haflinger,  Weisenblume (Bloom), rode their way to eighth place in the Novice Training Level division.  Linda Ottemoeller and her own Dutch Warmblood, Rubicon, also earned an eighth place in the largest class of the show.  They competed against 18 other riders in the Novice First Level division.  Way to go ladies!”
